FAQ How many students attend each class? All classes are limited to 20 students This is a virtual training, what does that mean to me the student? Virtual trainings have big benefits for students. To begin with, you don’t need to pay for expensive travel and hotel, you can attend from your home or office. Classes are held using a combination of Microsoft Office Live Meeting, a Telephone (toll free) and a hosted hands on lab, where students can interact with the product. What does a hosted hands on lab mean? By hosted hands on lab, we are referring to a service that allows for students using only a URL to connect to a live, fully functioning system. You will interact with the solution just as if you installed it on your own server. What is required to attend these courses? A high speed connection, a telephone and a PC (running either Windows XP, Vista or Windows Server 200x) Will I be able to ask questions of the instructor during the class? Yes! The big benefit of having an instructor lead virtual class is it allows students to interact with experienced professionals, who know the solution and can get you the answers you are looking for. Will I be able to download and keep course material? Yes! However, be aware that material is “Copyright – © 2008 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved” protected. When can I access the hosted hands on lab? You will not be able to access the hosted hands on lab until the day your course starts. However, we will leave your session up during the week of your course, so you can access the system any time. What if I want to re-review the class or access the hosted hands on lab at a different time, can I do this? Currently we will not be providing recordings of the class, or access to the hosted hands on lab outside of your schedule course time. I see the courses have a cost, is this in US dollars? Yes If I’m not in the United States may I attend? Absolutely! We’ve already trained students throughout the world using this method. Will Courses be offered in non-English languages? Currently, courses are only offered in English, however, if demand is high for other language specific courses we will add them. Is there a cancellation policy? Yes, please review the Terms of Use link at the bottom of this page. Who may attend these courses? These courses are opened to the public. I’m a Microsoft employee, do I get a discount? As a Microsoft FTE you are entitled to attend the courses for free. You will need to add your name to the waiting list through Dynamic Events ( ), and when space becomes available you will be notified. Will this training be included in my SA if I am a Microsoft customer? We are currently working with the SA team to see how best to include EPMU training as a SA benefit. What are PDU Credits? PDU or Professional Development Units are credits required by PMP’s to collect every year in order for them to maintain their PMP certification. How do I claim my PDU credits? Please reference this document for instructions on PDU credits. |
